Card games in the Faeroes

The Faeroes have a particularly rich and interesting card-playing tradition. The most popular game is Sjavs. Other games include the Jass game Grivjass and Lumbur, the local version of l'Hombre. A few people still play Stýrivolt, a game of the ancient Karnöffel group, which used to be played in Denmark some 200 years ago.
