Half and Half

Background: This game was created by a kid named Mitch Newlin. I was bored and had been looking at the Invented Card games section of pagat.com. So, I had been wanting to make a card game since the other invented games I saw looked so easy to make and play. This game was invented on: May 12, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. The following is how to play the game.

Number of Players Allowed

For this game, only 2 players are allowed to play.

The Deal

2 packs of 52 (plus the jokers, which would make it 54) cards.

Each player receives 27 cards.

The other 54 cards (or the other deck) goes as a withdraw pile in the middle of the table (or whatever you're playing on).

The Play

Each Player receives 27 cards. Make sure your 27 cards are faced down in one pile.

The Dealer (whoever chooses to be the dealer) starts by flipping the first card of their deck up.

• If the card he/she drew is higher than 7, then the person who drew the card must draw that number of cards from the 54 card withdraw pile. Kings, Queens, and Jacks all count as 10 cards.
• Aces count as 1. If you draw anything from an Ace to a 7 then you put that card off somewhere to the side of play.
• Jokers are wild. So, once the Joker is drawn it can be put back in the bottom of the deck.

[Then the other player flips a card and draws cards if it is higher than 7. Players continue to take turns until the withdraw pile is exhausted.]

NOTE: DO NOT LOOK AT YOUR 27 CARDS!

Winning!

When the 54 card withdraw pile is gone, then the two players add up their cards and whoever has fewer cards wins.

NOTE: DO NOT COUNT THE CARDS THAT HAVE BEEN DRAWN FROM YOUR 27 CARD DECK!

Game Time

The game itself takes usually around 3:00 minutes, but is very fun!

Extra Notes

Whenever he/she wishes to shuffle the remaining cards of their regular 27 card deck with the cards they have drawn from the 54 card withdraw pile, they may.

NOTE: DO NOT SHUFFLE THE DISCARDED CARDS WITH THE OTHER TWO SETS!
