Card games in Nigeria

The game of WHOT!, originally published in Britain by Waddingtons, has become popular in Nigeria, and versions of the cards are made locally.

Eléwénjewé is a Yoruba fishing game for up to 5 players, in which a card can capture an equal card or a set of cards whose sum is equal to the played card.

Thuni is a trick-taking game for four players in partnership played in played in Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan and Jos. As in the related South African Jass game Thunee the Jacks and Nines are high, but Nigerian Thuni is a plain-trick game, without card points.

I would be grateful for further information about these and other Nigerian card games.
